The Frost Jazz Sextet is the premier small jazz ensemble at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. This group of seniors and graduate students focuses on creating, performing, and recording original music. In recent years, the Frost Sextet has won multiple DownBeat Student Awards, and their new CD - Now and Then - features faculty member Gonzalo Rubalcaba. The Frost Septet is directed by Dr. Chuck Bergeron.
